HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Cameron Tucker’s 16 points helped Alabama A&M defeat Southern 66-56 on Saturday night.
Tucker added five rebounds and six assists for the Bulldogs (10-21, 9-9 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Chad Moodie scored 14 points, shooting 4 of 7 from the field and 6 for 10 from the line. Lorenzo Downey shot 2 of 5 from the field, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 6 from the line to finish with nine points, while adding eight rebounds.
Derrick Tezeno led the Jaguars (18-13, 12-6) in scoring, finishing with 19 points. Brandon Davis added 14 points and four assists for Southern. Jordan Johnson also recorded eight points.
